Planted with
a density of 5500 / ha, vines have an average age of 30 years.
Grape varieties are adapted to soil and subsoil (clay and limestone)
: Merlot 70 %, Cabernet Sauvignon 20 %, Cabernet Franc 10 %.
Vines growth is controlled in order to have a better harvest, with the risk of being smaller.
Treatments and enrichments are made with natural products, in order to protect our environment (sowing of vetch and rye in autumn, which will be cut and buried away again by a light ploughing).
Targeting a better quality, we go through various works such as de-budding, green harvests, selective picking and thermoregulation.
The wine-making of our parcels separately includes a cold pre
fermentation maceration of 4 to 5 days and a post fermentation
maceration of 15 to 20 days depending on the vintage and the grape
variety.
Ageing in French oak barrels lasts 12 months.
